Technology is changing the world at an incredible pace. Many of the jobs today's Foundation and Intermediate Phase learners will one day apply for haven't even been invented yet. While no one can predict exactly what those careers will look like, one thing is certain – today's learners need more than just subject knowledge. This is one of the key reasons why the South African Department of Basic Education introduced Coding & Robotics into the CAPS curriculum.
More Than Learning to Code
Many people still think Coding & Robotics is simply about teaching children how to write computer programs. In reality, the subject develops a much broader set of skills that learners will use throughout their lives.
